Now here we have an interesting question. What can you do for us that other candidates cannot.

This is really question where you should shine. You should know the company AND the role you are applying to and sit down and think hard why and how you are a better candidate than other people and what you can bring to the company and the role that they would really value.

It is one of those key questions. Once you have done your research and know the company you can then explain why you can make a difference.

For example, you are applying to be an intern at a law practice firm. You can tell the interviewer that you want to work in the company because you have a passion for law and that is the reason why you started studying law in the first place.

On top of that you were involved in the law society at university and helping them organise various fundraisers and events as you felt like it made a difference to the finance of the society.

Adding this last sentence alone tell quite a bit about yourself in that it gives a feeling of you actually being interested in other people and the greater good and not just your own future and money.

You are showing that you can be flexible and can bring more to the firm than just being another law student. In other words you are doing something other candidates perhaps haven't.

Conclusion: DO the research and know your company and the role. Don’t mention the same thing as everyone else but instead sit down and think how you differ from others.
